According to El Periodico, coach Pep Guardiola and his wife Cristina Serra have broken up after more than 30 years of togetherness.
The couple is said to have announced this to friends and relatives, but still maintained a harmonious relationship, celebrating Christmas together with their three children.
It is reported that in 2019, Cristina Serra left Manchester with one of her three children to return to Barcelona, where she manages her fashion business.
Since then, she has frequently traveled back and forth between Barcelona and London, while Guardiola continues to stay in Manchester. Now, the two have officially agreed to go their separate ways.
Guardiola and Serra first met in 1994, when he was 23 years old and she was 20 years old. However, it was not until 2014 that they officially got married. The couple has three children: Maria (24 years old), Marius (22 years old) and Valentina (17 years old).
Guardiola will now focus entirely on coaching, as Man City prepares to face Brentford this week. Currently, his team is ranked 6th on the Premier League rankings with 34 points, 2 points behind the Top 4.
After a series of poor results, Man City won 2 consecutive matches in the Premier League and began to show signs of revival.
