And while the league title seems unlikely, they have at least put themselves in a good position to qualify for the Champions League.
The victory over Ipswich was the 13th time that Man City scored at least 6 goals in a Premier League match under Guardiola, equal to the number of times Arsene Wenger achieved with Arsenal. However, it should be noted that Guardiola led Man City in 326 matches, while Wenger led the Gunners 828 times and Ferguson led Man United 810 times.
It could be said that Guardiola’s achievements in England are not given the respect they deserve, with rival fans and commentators attributing City’s success to the club’s financial wealth.
An unresolved lawsuit involving alleged violations of the league’s spending rules has fueled such stories. But it’s difficult to tarnish Guardiola’s success with off-the-field incidents.

It’s difficult to compare Ferguson and Guardiola because they both coached their teams in completely different contexts. But it would be a mistake to suggest that Man City’s head coach does not deserve to be compared to Ferguson as the best ever Premier League manager.
