Three players tipped to sign for Tottenham before the end of the summer transfer window

Tottenham Hotspur have been one of the busiest Premier League clubs during the summer transfer window.

Spurs have made six first-team additions, with talented young wingback Djed Spence, tough-tackling midfielder Yves Bissouma, experienced Croatian Ivan Perisic, prolific forward Richarlison and veteran goalkeeper Fraser Forster all joining on a permanent basis whilst French defender Clement Lenglet has also joined on loan. Still, a number of players continue to be linked with a move to N17 ahead of the transfer window slamming shut on September 1.

With all that being said, football.london has taken a look at the players the Lilywhites are tipped to sign before then according to bookies Sky Bet.

James Maddison (6/1)

Tottenham have held a long-term interest in Leicester City attacking midfielder James Maddison, football.london understands. Maddison enjoyed an extremely productive 2021/22 campaign, netting 18 goals and providing an additional 12 assists across all competitions.

Spurs’ local rivals Arsenal have also been linked with the England international in the past, as well as Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United.

Adama Traore (6/1)

Wolves winger Adama Traore looked set to be on his way to north London during the January transfer window. As reported by football.london at the time, talks had been continuing between Tottenham and Wolves during the winter window but the Spaniard eventually opted to join La Liga giants Barcelona on loan instead.

Still, the bookies think there is a chance Traore could still join the Lilywhites this summer.

Lucas Paqueta (8/1)

Lyon star Lucas Paqueta is another midfielder to be linked with Tottenham, Arsenal and Newcastle this summer. football.london reported back in June that Spurs director of football Fabio Paratici has an interest in the Brazilian international, with the Magpies attempting to sign him in January.

The 24-year-old enjoyed an excellent 2021/22 campaign with the French 1 side, netting 11 goals and providing a further seven assists in all competitions. L’Equipe also reported that Antonio Conte’s men had a €40 million (£33.5 million) bid for Paqueta turned down back in January and the player is said to prefer a move to join the Lilywhites over the ɢυппeгѕ  this summer.
