Erling Haaland has reportedly signed a staggering nine-and-a-half-year contract at Manchester City, which will commit him to the club until 2034.
According to the Athletic, Haaland the contract extension removes all previous release clauses in the star’s deal.
Haaland’s new deal is reportedly one of the most lucrative sporting contracts of all time.
The Norwegian forward would be 34 years old when his new contract expires.
Haaland’s existing deal had been due to expire in the summer of 2027.
The extension will provide a major boost to Man City amid a difficult season for the reigning Premier League champions, who are currently sixth in the table, 12 points behind leaders Liverpool.

A release clause had been triggered by Man City when they signed Haaland for £51million from Borussia Dortmund.
Haaland’s goals have helped Man City to two Premier League titles, the 2023 FA Cup and the club’s first Champions League triumph in 2023.
