Real Madrid are said to be interested in signing Kyle Walker as a temporary solution to their right-back problem, according to Sport and some other Spanish sources.
Walker is 34 and in the last lap of his career. But he still has something to give with his speed, experience and winning mentality.
The English defender has told Manchester City he wants to leave the club in January after falling out of favour with Pep Guardiola.
Walker has been strongly linked with a move to AC Milan but that transfer seems to be falling through by the day.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid’s only option at right-back after Dani Carvajal’s injury is Lucas Vazquez. Unfortunately, Vazquez has shown he is not the best defender, after transitioning from being an attacker in years gone by.
Walker may arrive to fill a gap until the end of the season when Real Madrid are expected to sign someone like Trent Alexander-Arnold.
