Manchester United Under-21s have a new date for the Premier League 2 clash with Blackburn Rovers.

The Reds, who opened the campaign with a 3-1 defeat to Arsenal on Saturday, despite a superb free-kick by Charlie Wellens, will now face Rovers on Saturday 1 October, rather than at the end of September.

The away fixture will kick off at 12:00 BST at Lancashire FA headquarters in Leyland.

Our Under-21s are next in action on Friday night, with an opening home game at Leigh Sports Village, against Crystal Palace.

The match kicks off at 19:00 BST and is being shown live on the United App and MUTV.

There is also confirmation that the third of our Papa John’s Trophy group games will be played on Tuesday 18 October, away to Fleetwood Town (kick-off 19:45 BST).
